You may apply to NIC directly or through an education representative in your home country. For a list of authorised NIC representatives, please visit: www.nic.nsw.edu.au. Early application and payment will secure a place in your course and allow sufficient time to obtain a student visa.
If your application is successful we will send you a Letter of Offer via email. This will explain the course you have been accepted into, the fees that are payable including Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), your student identification number (student ID), refund policy and course start date.
In order to secure your place at NIC we need to receive your acceptance form signed by you (student only) and tuition fees as outlined in your Letter of Offer. Payment will not be receipted by NIC until all the conditions on the Letter of Offer have been met and accepted by the Admissions department.
Please refer to the information on how to pay your fees here.
Students may apply to receive exemptions for NIC units on the basis of previous study. This should be done prior to enrolment. Exemption application forms can be obtained from your NIC representative or downloaded from the NIC website. The decision to grant exemptions for diploma units is made by the University of Newcastle.
